UUSB’s own Marie Tessier will speak about the way her commitment to UU’s principles led her on a decade long journey to understand the role of women’s voices in the 21st century. One hundred years after white women earned the right to vote, women’s voices online and in public meetings are still marginalized, even when women have seats at the table. Her book Digital Suffragists: Women the Web and the Future of Democracy was published by MIT Press last year.
