Sermon Description:
Join us for our annual service honoring the memory of Charlie Howard. Charlie was a young, gay man who was a member of the Unitarian Church in Bangor. He was murdered in 1984 during a hate crime. Each year we try to select a speaker who is someone that we believe Charlie would approve of if he were still alive. This year we are pleased to have Allyson LaPoint, vice chair of the Maine Wabanaki Two Spirit Alliance. Allyson will speak on “Fear.” The service will also include a video on “What Does Two Spirit Mean?” with Geo Neptune.
