In October, half of the undesignated funds in the plate will go to Bangor Area Recovery Network (BARN). BARN’s mission is to provide peer-based services, education, outreach, and advocacy. They offer a safe haven for those seeking recovery, their loved ones, and our communities. BARN operates a safe, healthy, and respectable environment that the recovery community can access. They also offer education, opportunity, and community to attain and sustain recovery, including volunteerism, employment, and life-skills. And, of course, part of a successful recovery path requires social activities ranging from self-help to holidays and events to celebrating recovery efforts.

In August, we were able to share $181 with our Food Security Programs.
