Youth Programs

The Spiritual Exploration Experience

We are looking forward to having your family participate in our Spiritual Exploration Experience!
We are ready for a year of connecting, learning, helping our neighbors, and creating opportunities for growth. We’ll be running a full church-year of programming focusing on supporting our families and offering thoughtful and memorable opportunities for our community to grow together.

Please feel free to reach out to Kaz Childs, Director of Spiritual Exploration, or share that info on your registration form

Our Groupings:

Our Littles, including our Pre-K and Kindergarten friends, will be focusing on diversity and inclusion using our expanded Rainbow Connection curriculum. This program explores stories and offers fun activities themed around the J.E.T.P.I.G. Values, surrounded by Love

Our First through Sixth Grade Youth will be participating in EPIC: Equal Partners In Community, a program optimized for one-room schoolhouse interconnectivity. This play-based, skill-building framework aims to meet kids’ spiritual need to engage in community, by using movement, art, and conversation, helping our elementary schoolers to become active and loving co-creators of Unitarian Universalist congregational life

Our Junior & Senior Youth will be sharing time together using Soul Matters’ In the Middle and On the Road programs.

If your youth plans to participate in Hersey Bequest Scholarships to attend Summer Camps at Ferry Beach, your family will be expected to comply with the Hersey Attendance Guidelines. For more information on this program, please contact a member of the Hersey Bequest Trustees or the Director of Spiritual Exploration.

The UUSB SE Community strives to be an ever-evolving community, adding variety to our programming and expanding our horizons through new ideas. Our Spiritual Exploration Action League (S.E.A.L.) that works within our department to provide visioning and feedback, as well as be the extra helping hands needed for some of our larger projects and events.

We invite all parents to be involved in some aspect of the program.
Please email our DSE  to find out how you can help sustain our SE community.
