Worship Service – July 5, 2020: the Poor People’s Campaign
In celebration of July 4th, our service will focus on the ideals of democratic engagement and living out our country’s founding ideals of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Together, we will look at the power of democracy in action through the eyes of the Poor People’s Campaign (PPC), which works to organize poor and low-income people into a force to demand change to our social and economic systems. We will be joined by several guests, who are local organizers for the PPC, so we can learn more about the PPC and how we can get involved.
This service will be led by Rev. Drew, with Jean Adamson as our worship associate, Kim McKeage as our technical coordinator, and music provided by Molly Webster.
