~ Being the Thread that Mends – a Ritual ~
with Laurie Cartier
Join us as we follow up on the GA Worship Service that was streamed into the sanctuary on June 23rd. Worship leader Laurie Cartier will lead us on a ritual journey to discover the ways we can be part of the solution as we explore what the Reverend Doctor Molly House Gordon refers to in her GA sermon as the wisdom of her great grandmother Iva Mae: “Before we learn to weave, we learn to mend.” We will use ritual to explore the possibilities around being the thread that mends.
If you have not yet watched the GA Worship Service, it is well worth taking the time to do so. You can find it at this YouTube Link (the sermon starts at 1:00:44).

Every Sunday, we share half of our undesignated plate offerings with an organization that works toward our UU values. In July, half of the undesignated funds in the plate will go to the Wilson Center. The mission of the Wilson Center is to create progressive, ecumenical, and multifaith dialogue for the University of Maine community and through worship, study, and service, to work for social justice, honor diversity, and offer opportunities for spiritual growth. For more information, visit their website.
We have an option to give online through Vanco. You can give a one-time gift or set up your recurring pledge, by scanning the QR code to the right or visiting https://bit.ly/2x6uhaP. You can also find this option on our website, uubangor.org.
