~ MLK Sunday ~
In honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday, we will talk about the ongoing work of UUism towards inclusion and diversity. This service will be led by Rev. Drew Moeller with John Arimond as the worship team. Music will be provided by the UUSB Choir, Molly J. Webster, and Jack Derosier.
Join the Zoom Meeting with meeting code 958 8879 7832 and passcode 278701.
For those attending in person: Please be aware that we are sending a live feed to Zoom every Sunday. If you do not want to be in this live feed, please avoid the center of the sanctuary so you are not in view of the camera. After the service, we edit the recording to eliminate the Candles of Joys and Concerns and then we are posting the service to our Website. Please contact Laurie Cartier if you have any questions about our procedures. For the most current CDC recommendations relating to COVID-19, please visit their website.
Every Sunday, we share half of our undesignated plate offerings with an organization that works toward our UU values. In January, half of the undesignated funds in the plate will go to the UUSB Food Security Programs. This includes the Bean Suppers that we host on the fourth, and fifth, Saturdays each month; our donation to the Soup Kitchen at the Salvation Army, in lieu of making lunches during the pandemic; and our Bag Lunch program, to give lunches for those attending our Bean Suppers.
