Spirit of Drumming is a monthly drum circle led by Jim Shimko typically on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. It is a wonderful balance of instruction in African and frame drum rhythms and encouragement to open to spirit through guided drumming, building exercises, drumming to chants and rounds, and an opportunity to just jam! We frequently bring the energy of the Sunday service to the circle. We honor the holy days of the wheel of the year with our drumming, sending energy out for the highest good of all.

Anyone can join and no experience is necessary. We have lots of drums to share or you are welcome to bring your own. Members, friends and drumming enthusiasts from outside UUSB all participate. Once or twice a year we create a special opportunity for the children to join in the fun.
