Worship Services
Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Sunday Services are held at 10am on Sundays, via Zoom. Look for specifics each week on how to join us by phone or internet. We look forward to “seeing” you over Zoom!
Worship Service occurs every Sunday at 10am. A listing of topics can be found in our Chalice and Chimes newsletter. They are also posted weekly on our Facebook page.

August 31, 2020 at 9:09 am /I would like to receive your e-mails and also zoom the services. I am Teddy Weston’s daughter and cannot say it enough…the support this church gave my mother over the years was amazing and her family appreciates all of you. Thank you to Rev. Drew for officiating at her service on very short notice. It was obvious from his words that he knew and cared about Mom. Thank you.

April 15, 2021 at 10:36 pm /When do you expect to open the doors of the church for regular Sunday services? I am not a member, but I would like to start attending your church. I do have a very severe hearing loss which would probably result in my not being able to hear what is said during the service, but I still want to attend. I was brought up in the Congregational Church, but my grandmother was a Unitarian. I was a Junior Choir Director at one time and also a substitute organist for 1 year.

April 20, 2021 at 4:07 pm /We, unfortunately, are not expecting to open for regular Sunday services until September. We may have some small services at some point this summer in preparation for returning, but we don’t have any dates yet. We are still doing virtual services every week, which you can access by phone or computer. We would love to have you join us virtually, if you can, and we do have a short “coffee hour” after each service with a chance to talk to some other people attending. If you can’t join us remotely, we hope you will join us when services resume in a few months.

May 4, 2021 at 9:37 pm /I am hoping that someday gatherings will be held in the building again, My Grandfather Dr. Milton M. Mcgorrill Sr, was the Minister of the Universalist church in the 1950s and very early 1960s, He left in 1962 to take up a Pastorate in Concord, NH but died about 1963 and the last time I was in your building was for his funeral, which was held in the room underneath the sanctuary in front of the two stained glass windows he shepherded into existence and which he considered one of his major accomplishments. I was about 12 when he died, but I remember attending the Universalist Church during his time there and I would love to revisit the space now that I am 69 and most especially to see the stained glass windows in the room under the sanctuary that he loved so much and was so proud of. I moved back to Bangor from Boston after retirement and many years away. In Boston I was very active in the Episcopal Church for 25 years or so as a liturgical minister, thurifer, and in parish leadership, so I am unfamiliar with the Unitarian Universalist denomination. Would it be possible to add my email to your mailing list in case your building ever opens up again? Thank you so much!!

May 14, 2021 at 1:41 pm /I added you to our newsletter after you first commented. We are hoping to be back in-person in the fall, based on best practices at that time. Once the building is reopened, we would be delighted to have you come visit and see the vestry with all the stained glass he loved. It is a feature that we all enjoy very much, especially as that is the most used space, other than the sanctuary. If you would like additional information on our congregation or want to talk about UUism and UUSB, our Membership-Fellowship team and our minister, Rev. Drew, host a monthly virtual tea, as well as being open to talk at other times as well.
